First monarch for Prince Edward County (Ontario) was reported at Prince Edward Point (National Wildlife Area) on Saturday, May 31, 2008 by David Okines. Also at this location Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory and banding station. Recognized by Canada and Mexico in the 1990’s for the monarch migration that takes place here.
