Saw our first Monarch fly over our house here in Fremont, Ohio NW Ohio about 11 miles south of Lake Erie. I could see through the wings because many of the scales were off. Pretty bad shape but didn't hinder its flying ability. Will have to check milkweeds in back yard and look for eggs.
