The monarch didn't stay long, visited the lilac, then down the driveway and off. Our swamp milkweed is only 8" tall yet so the monarch never noticed it. Last year the milkweed was 3' tall when the monarchs arrived and they laid hundreds of eggs. Looks like it will be a quieter year in 08.
