I bought a Hibiscus tree for my deck in fact if I stand next to it the nest that was built is about 10 inches from my belly button up....The robin laid 1 egg exactly 15 days ago then she made her nest bigger and covered the egg and preceded to lay 4 more eggs in 4 more days ...I know this becouse I have been tracking the robins move everyday. I am very careful when looking in the nest not to touch anything....I have a six year old daughter Gianna and I think it is wonderful for her her to watch....Today the weather is just unbearable and I notice the other sitting very high in the nest almost standing with her mouth wide open for a few hours now...I am wondering if one of the eggs is hatching usually when I go onto the deck that is where the Hibiscus tree is about 2 feet from my back door) the mother hasn't moved is there anything I should watch for in the mother or fathers behavior????I will send picture the nest is quite beautiful as is the blue eggs.....
