We discovered that a robin had made a nest in a hanging basket located at the end of our porch. initially there were 2 eggs, a day later 3 then later that same day there were 5 eggs. All the eggs did hatch, seemingly in the order of appearance. Unfortunately, a neighbors cat jumped up from our porch rail and knocked 4 of the babies from the nest. I heard a commotion, the parents were upset, and I ran outside(with my 3 young sons), I located all the babies and gently placed them back in the nest. Two of the babies died. The other 3 are doing well and are very close to leaving the nest. We have enjoyed watching them, we have taken lots of pictures. My husband rigged something up so that cats can't get st the nest. Do you think this is the last batch of eggs she will lay this spring? If I move the basket to a nearby and safer location will the robins find it to lay their eggs in? Thank you, Nadine
