My first Monarch of 2008 was sighted on my swamp milkweed blossoms around noon. What a welcome sight! This Monarch appeared to be vibrant orange and large. After about a minute, it headed north and I have not seen it since; but I know that others will be arriving any day .. my common and swamp milkweed will be in full bloom later this week.
