There was a Monarch nectaring on one of the butterfly bushes in the backyard this afternoon. Wings were fresh. Monarch sightings in June are rare in northeast MS. The sighting was a nice suprise! Temperatures were in the upper 80's with mostly sunny skies with W-NW winds at 10mph.
