Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 06/21/2008

Number: 1

We have found a Robin's nest on one of the lowest branches of a tree in our yard! My husband and I were surprised to see the lowest branch with a nest. When we first saw it, we were amazed at how beautiful they create the nest. Thinking it fell we gentley pulled down the branch to look inside and to our amazment we saw one blue egg in it, so we put the branch back up. Then two days later we noticed the mom coming and staying there alot. I have taken some pictures of her, and yesterday we tried to take pictures of the one egg (or so we thought) but there were two now, and unfortnatly the picture came out blurry, but we didnt want to disturb the nest. Well thats what brings me to this website. I have never experienced seeing this so close up before. I wanted to read up on this bird, and now we are awaiting the birth! Will let you know how it goes!! I hope someone out there appreciates my story. I have to be honest I'm not that familar with birds, but this is kind of awesome to see.
