I checked the milkweed on the north side of my house.Next to a white spot is a hole that has been eaten away next to a black oblong object that looks like a caterpillar with white stripes.
Used my magnifying lens. Actually, I'm not certain how long this will last because the last three days we have had thunderstorms crop up and yesterday we had one inch of rain in 15 minutes with storm damage in the area. I am just leaving the plants and the caterpillars where they are as the one on the porch is not doing anything. Maybe in a week, If it survives the weather it might be larger so that I can a least see it.
