It is a slow season! I did find one caterpillar today but no more of the few eggs that I had found earlier. I do not know if a predator is eating those as they disappeared after I first saw them. I have only spotted one butterfly and suspect either it came back or another as had a few new eggs laid the day after but only found about 10 eggs, which seems strange. A lot of milkweed along roadsides of other years seems to be mowed down but my crop seems healthy and pretty empty. Where are all the butterflies? I keep hoping that since the weather is finally warming, they will come. but so far have been disappointed.
