During June 20-27 monarchs were widespread on Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park. All appeared to be in excellent condition. Other butterflies observed were white admiral, Harris's checkerspot, common ringlet, Aphrodite fritillary, Arctic skipper, European skipper, orange sulphur, pink-edged sulphur, painted lady, Canadian tiger swallowtail.
