Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/30/2008

Number: 1

I spotted several eggs on milkweed plants, given to me by a friend in the city. I tried to talk him into keeping the milkweed
intacked - he said take them or he will cut them down. I tried to transplant them, and they began to wither. I continue for days trying to keep the plants and eggs alive - it worked. I saw a small larva in blossom of the withered plant and removed it for rearing.I also found three more later in the day.
