i have 2 monarch caterpillars in my herb garden, they've been there for over a week at least. they are living on my parsely plant. i'm sure they're monarchs, i know that monarchs eat milkweed and that they ingest a poison which keeps them from being eaten by predators. how will they survive without this? why are they eating parsely? they are getting big and starting to take on a greenish hue, i think it's from eating the parsely. what's going on???
