Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 07/02/2008

Number: 1

Spotted 3 Monarch's at the town of Padua today. Thrilling 2 flew in front of me,and danced and tumbled together in the air . As I watched a third monarch flew towards me and flew around me and over my head. I watched as the 3rd one flew over into the woods. There is a corn field directly behind the wood. I saw it head in and out of this woods, and into the corn field. They stay in this small spot, where there is water from the lawn sprinkler. Thrilling, I noticed that the milk weed in the area has bloomed, and am wondering if this is the time that they evolve, and migrate?? Would like to hear from someone that knows if this is a fact? Do they need the pollen from the milk weed bloom to start this process.
Thanks
