Sorry, I ment to type in August,2,2008, I spied 3 Monarch's today at Padua Minnesota, 2 large, and one very small monarch butterfly. The 2 large danced and tumbled in front of me, in kind of an ariel dog fight. I spotted the third much smaller monarch coming out from out of the woods. They all landed on the lawn, in the dark spots, I think looking for water.
I noticed that there were milk weed plants by the side of the road that looked like they were in bloom. The milkweed had thes big blooms, on them by the road. I was wondering if this blooming actavates a migration pattern in the Monarch's??
Would like to hear from any one that has info On their migration times of the year. Last year there was litterly thousands of monarch's that roosted in one of our ceader trees.
I guess there is a flight path thru Padua
