Last spring my first grade class at Lincoln Charter School and I planted two monarch butterfly gardens. One for our school campus and one for the Lincolnton community at Betty Ross Park. This fall we are observing 11 monarch "babies" in my room. We will release them back into the garden when they emerge. This is an ongoing classroom project. Everyone loves it!
