On Monday, August 25, 2008 at about 9:30 AM I was sitting on my patio surounded by flowers, the biggest 2 hibiscus and a female humming bird came to these flowers and hovered for a few seconds and then flew up about a foot and hovered, came close to me and hovered again, flew back and up and hovered and then flew away. I have never seen a humming bird that close up. It was wonderful. I am not a qualified bird watcher, but I do love them.
