We have been reared about 16 monarchs, we can't find any live larves, there are signs on the leafs where they laid, but they are dried up flat the life sucked out. Yesterday one cat didn't finish its pupa, its still alive any suggestions - what to do. We have five pupaes in hanging stage - four adult cats ready for J stage.
And a young larvae. It has been very arid here, the ground is rock solid, and the milkweed is dry to the touch. There is and over abundance of mosquitoes,black wasps and ant - alot of varieties of spiders.
They brown china beattles seem to have moved on. More bubble bees, then normal for the second year. A few yellow swallow tails, even the moth population was low. Georgianna
