out looking for caterpillars this evening- found 5 eggs at Presquile and a variety of instars. all the eggs were laid on tiny little plants that were growing at the edge of the meadow. no adults seen, but there was a light rain falling in the park. the leaves on the maples have started to turn colour overnight - yesterday two trees that were totally green now have red outer edges and on top... fall is in the air! my first chrysalid should become a butterfly this weekend!
