Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/04/2008

Number: 1

We sighted approximately 20 monarchs feeding on goldenrod in a woodland clearing about 10:30am. Temperature was cool, about 50 degrees following an 80 degree week.
We also spotted about 6 monarchs feeding on 4ft. high thistles and yellow coneflowers at about 11:30am in our garden area. The photos we took were absolutely gorgeous in the filtered sunlight.
