0n 8/31/08 twenty one Black Swallowtail caterpillars were on my fennel plants. I put the largest caterpillar in a butterfly pavilion. On 9/1/08 I took three more caterpillars inside. On 9/3/08 one chrysalis formed. 9/4/08 one more chrysalis formed, seven caterpillars left on fennel. 9/5/08 only one caterpillar left on fennel, one more caterpillar is in the process of making a chrysalis.
