Found the second caterpillar in the garden, followed it on the milkweed until Sunday, 9/7, as it molted once more and worked it's way toward the bottom of the plant, then disappeared. Searched for the chrysallis, but couldn't find it, though the garden is still quite full with milkweed, phlox and other still healthy plants - so it may be difficult to spot.
