Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/06/2008

Number: 1

It has been a good warm sunny day here at waystation 553 in Midhurst, Ontario (about 55 miles north of Toronto). Migrating monarchs have been passing through and feeding all day long. There have usually been a couple in the garden at any given time with five at one time on our Mexican sunflowers (Tithonia rotundifolia). Today has been the most monarch activity we have seen this year, not counting when we have released butterflies.
