Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/11/2008

Number: 1

A lone female hummer stopped and fed at my feeder at 5:30 this afternoon for a long spell then rested then fed some more for about 20 seconds then she flew off into a nearby tree. I was on the deck when this happened and I then came in the house. Don't know if she stayed the night or not. This is the latest I've ever seen a hummer here, glad I left the feeder out with fresh food in it. It's been a crazy summer weatherwise, I have Monarch caterpillars just starting to make their chrysalys'. Hope they make it!
