Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/13/2008

Number: 1

good day yesterday........
two perfect butterflies emerged and sunned themselves all afternoon
on the back hill, i spotted three feeding on goldenrod
photographed them trying to get close up flying shots.......
wednesday (sept. 10) i saw a monarch fighting strong south winds trying to migrate.......wind blew him back... saw no others that day---suspect they were all hanging tight to tree branches
wind will be coming from the north by tomorrow
they'll all be gone when that happens....
we have a few unhatched still on the back hills, i think....
they'd best get out today in preparation for tomorrow's flight!
