The leading edge of the migration reached my location today about 45 miles south of Lawrence. Have checked roost trees the last week and observed no monarchs. Very heavy numbers this evening though. Multiple clusters numbering around 200 total. I was able to tag 71.

September 18 and 19
Had light monarch numbers here on 9-18-08 and 9-19-08.

September 20
Observed steady numbers all day and tagged 48 last evening. Similar story today (9/21) although with a stronger breeze. Tagged 112 near Princeton, Kansas this evening.
