Hi, This is our first time raising fall monarchs to send to Mexico. We found fourteen larva (caterpillars)and so far all but two have emerged from the pupa stage. Out of the twelve butterflies 11 have been females and only one male so far. The class predicts that the last two will be males. We have had a blast and even had one caterpillar escape and make its crystalis on the handle of our spray bottle. Gracias por cuidar a las mariposas monarcas este invierno, de parte de sus vecinos del norte.
