Most unusual behavior for RubyThroated female hummingbird. For the last few days she has been very territorial. She had been perching in a nearby tree while wathching our two feeders. As soon as she spies another Hummingbird, she chases them away. Last night, for the first time. she not only chased away all other Hummers from "her" feeders but also chased away any "bee's" that tried drink at the feeders. She is extremely aggressive...sort of "divebombing" any enemies that approach. Very, very entertaining to watch.
