Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/04/2008

Number: 1

Our third grade class was amazed to count any where between 8-12 monarchs every square meter in our butterfly garden. The monarchs were clinging in huge clusters on our purple Meadow Blazing Star Flowers collecting nectar. The kids noticed that the monarchs likes thess better than the black eyed susans. The numbers have begun to dwindle every day sine this time. Yesterday we saw an injured monarch trying to keep pace with others in their race to migrate.
