We had one monarch on our butterfly bush at the beginning of school for about a week and we haven't seen any more until today. We have had lots of the victory butterflies but when the monarch showed up today the difference was very obvious to the students. They immediately knew the new butterfly was definitely a monarch by its size and markings. The temperature this week has dropped to the mid to high 70s. The monarch showed up outside our window after lunch.
