Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/18/2008

Number: 75

I saw about 6 Monarchs thru out today heading South. Temps: 78 degrees. Wind: Light, SE around 5 mph. A farmer friend working a field about 5 miles NE of Kingfisher, gave me a call today, and said that he was stirring up some Monarchs in a shelter belt when he went by with the tractor. When I got out there, there were approx. 50 to 75 Monarchs stirring about the trees looking for a place to roost. They're getting closer!
