The last caterpillar of the season is in the j position and will chrysalis today. I still have about 30 chrysalis' and have released about 75 butterflies so far this year - less than half of what I released last year. I tried a some new milkweed in my back yard garden this year but the swamp milkweed still seems to attract the most monarch moms. I'm going to plant a lot more for next year and hope the monarchs have a safe journey and their progeny make it back to Dover next summer.
