Signs of Fall

Date: 09/23/2008

Number: 1

Yesterday there was equal hours of daylight and night. Our meter stick at noon cast a shadow of 43.5 inches. A few trees are changing colors and there are a few more leaves on the ground.
Animals seem busy collecting food for the winter. Acorn Woodpeckers were making holes in trees and storing acorns. We saw walnuts on the ground too. Tomatoes were ripe in someone's garden and apples are easy to find (some of them are huge!!).
The air is cool enough some days to wear sweaters and sweatshirts.
