Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/23/2008

Number: 1

Dozens, if not a couple hundred! They were on the main street in town all over a Coralvine/Queen's Wreath along with hundreds of Snouts and Sulphurs. I saw them near the post office and in my own alley as well.

I reported a sighting just yesterday that I very much underestimated. Once I looked at my photos, I realized that I'd seen hundreds of Monarchs, not just a couple of hundred. Today I saw Monarchs along Pinto Creek outside Brackettville, TX. I did not see hundreds, dozens easily but not hundreds. But when I drove back into town and was driving down main street, I stopped at the same Coralvine that I stopped at yesterday. There were, again, hundreds of Monarchs on the vine.
