It has been awhile since I have posted a sighting. That doesn't mean I haven't been enjoying all the critters nature has to offer. Today I got a "new" butterfly for my yard! A California Patch. All that I have seen written about it show that it is an unusual sighting as far east as Kansas. What a thrill. The Painted Ladies are the most numerous with some Monarchs and very few Swallowtails. I have had plenty of Swallowtail larvae throughout the summer, but none seem to be surviving to adulthood. Everybody, enjoy FALL!! Barbara
