What a beautiful day, sunshine and 75. I had a Monarch butterfly emerge about 4:00PM today and yesterday. They are both females. I have 2 caterpillars munching milkweed. I have never had caterpillars this late into the season. It has been an interesting season as I didn't have any eggs until the middle of July and it will be the middle of October before my last 2 caterpillars emerge as butterflies.
