We planted our tulips in the middle of our playground's "wild garden" area. We had a frost 9/23, so we had to get the bulbs in the ground. The soil is slightly compacted, but should have lots of nutrients. We might have regular over-night freezing any day now. As soon as it freezes up, we'll pile leaves over the spot.
