Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/25/2008

Number: 1

I sighted three monarch butterflies at Singleton today on the migration trail. They are probably a little off the trail but they have found food near by. They feed on milkweed and there is very little in urban areas because we keep our lawns too green. Milkweed is a vine and most people don't know what it is and spray it with round up or weed killer. This is part of the butterfly service project.
