Signs of Fall

Date: 09/30/2008

Number: 1

Our ruby throated hummingbirds have left the area- we haven't seen any in days. There were still a few monarchs in a nearby field today, but the milkweed is yellow and falling down. Trees are beginning to change color now and the days are noticably shorter. We've seen chipmunks with cheeks full of acorns. We hear the Canada geese flying overhead in flocks as they head south almost daily now.
Temps. in the 60's and low 70's but falling fast.
