Here's a summary of counts and observations for Sept 30 thought Oct 2, 2008.

Note all count observations taken for ten minutes at 10 am and 20 minutes at noon.

Sept 30: Singles 12 per hour

Oct 1: Singles 16 per hour

Oct 2: Close singles (I saw 3 at one glance). 30 per hour

I definitely noted the aerodynamics of their flight as they would funnel southerly close to our 20 x 150 x 750 building. Wind NE 10 mph. They glided along side and caught the up-draft on the west side of building and shot up 40-50 feet by the time they reached the south end of the building while hardly batting a wing.
