Symbolic Monarchs (Sent)

Hello! Hola!
We are in sixth grade at Hanover Middle School in Hanover Pennsylvania. We have been enjoying learning about the migration of the monarch butterfly. To help our monarch friends, we are planning on planting a milkweed patch on our school property in the spring. We also made a donation to the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary Foundation. Our classmate, Logan, found a monarch caterpillar and brought it to school. Overnight it formed a chrysalis. About two weeks later, it came out of the chrysalis! All of us took it outside to release. When we think of our symbolic migration of monarch butterflies, we will also remember the real monarch that left our school on September 24th. We know that this monarch was really migrating to Mexico. How exciting!
Para ayudar a las mariposas monarca, crié una mariposa de verdad y la dejé en libertad.
Gracias por cuidar a las mariposas monarcas este invierno, de parte de sus vecinos del norte.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at Hanover Middle School
