Signs of Fall

Date: 10/08/2008

Number: 1

The resident catbirds have left, lots of different warblers are passing through the yard, the leaves are turning color, some are falling already--there aren't any acorns on my large oak this year, last year the ground was covered with them. This is bad news for all the creatures that are dependent on them for winter food. The orioles left a few weeks ago, had 2 families visiting the jelly feeder all summer.
