Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/11/2008

Number: 1

Had a hummer straggler pass through on 8/9/08 and just saw another one this morning. Garden is still blooming nicely, some cannas, cleome, fuschia, lots of salvias, honeysuckle has a few blooms, cuphea (which was a big hit with the resident hummer this year)I have found they prefer flower nectar and small insects to the nectar feeder at this time of year, but think I will make one more small batch of sugar water and keep my feeders full a little longer. The latest I have seen a hummer is aropund the middle of October.
