Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 10/12/2008

Number: 2000

At my place in Manchaca the Monarchs are roosting in the trees by the thousands. They started around oct 8 with a few hundred and they have been building every day. The next wind change day looks like around Wednesday so they might build up even more.

Editor’s Note: We are estimating a minimum of 2000 monarchs based on observer’s estimate of “thousands.”
