We made it! We mailed our symbolic butterflies on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. We also planted a butterfly garden outside our classroom. We have milkweek as well as flowers. We raised and released at least 8 Monarchs. They were beautiful and came back to get the nectar from our flowers. We now have tiny caterpillars on our parsley and dill. We're not yet sure if they're Monarchs.
