Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 10/12/2008

Number: 200

Hundreds showed up and are roosting in a grove of trees in our yard. I first saw them 10/12 and as of 10/14 eve. they are still there. This is the third year in a row and to make it even more special they always put on a great show for my son's birthday. (10/13) Are they waiting till the storms pass, or could it be a different group each night?

Editor’s Note: We are estimating a minimum of 200 monarchs based on observer’s estimate of “hundreds.”
