We raised a monarch caterpillar that hatched 2 days ago. We were not sure if it would survive the cold & rainy weather. Today was about 58 degrees, but not raining, so we let it go. I lost sight of it. Then two hours later I saw a monarch butterfly over head, way above the trees, very high, flying in a southward direction. I wondered if that was ours or another. Two days ago I did see another monarch fly southward through the back yard. Will they make it to Mexico with the cold evening temperatures upcoming?
