There is one seemingly solitary monarch that has been in my backyard for 2 weeks. I have a Mexican sunflower variety (tithonia) in bloom and that seems to be where it likes to be. I thought it would fly on to migrate, but here it still is. I have a nice photo of it. Even as I type this I saw it fly past the front window. Maybe he is finished with migration and will winter here.
