I happened to look out the kitchen window to the north at 11:36 this morning and saw a migrating monarch zip by. Grabbed my cell phone and clipboard and ran to the front yard.

My highest count was 7 in one minute.

The first 30 minute segment I had 87.

Second segment of the hour: 72

For an hour's total of 159

Average of 26.66 per minute, but graphed would have created an undulation (1/3/4/3/5/7/1/2/4/4/6/5/4) so that they seemed to come in waves.
