Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 10/17/2008

Number: 1

Reporting from Monterrey, Mexico on Friday 17th at 17:30 Hrs with overcast skies and temp in the high 70s and no winds to speed them. As I was reading the latest JS report my wife came to my home office to tell me that Monarchs were arriving into our garden, hovering around trees and starting to a well deserved rest roosting among the branches of trees with browning leaves which made difficult to spot them among the branches. It is getting dark and we see more Monarchs arriving to our garden.

Edmundo Durell
